The goals of the clinic soccer program are to develop an interest in soccer, introduce basic soccer skills and to have fun. All players in the clinic program are between 3 and 6 years old. Clinic players are divided into three age groups - Mini Kicks, Pre Kindergarten (Pre K) and Kindergarten (K).  Players must play with their classmates.

Mini Kicks — These are players approximately 3-4 years old, who play one hour on Sundays. This program is a parent participation program in which the children are introduced to games that introduces touching a soccer ball and facilitates the development of beginning skills of soccer. Parents are expected to help their child to participate and get involved in this program. This program does not have teams and coaches.

Pre K — These are 4-5 year old players. The children are placed on teams and are led by a volunteer coach. Play is on Saturdays and consists of one hour of games to get the players comfortable with the soccer ball. The overall clinic programming is led by a professional coach provided by Chelmsford Youth Soccer.

K — These are typically 5-6 year old players .The children are placed on teams and are led by a volunteer coach. Play occurs on Saturdays for one hour. The time is spent on drills and skills which help to get the players comfortable with the soccer ball and game. Players are introduced to directional play and putting the ball in the net.  The players will also have fun playing a scrimmage against another team! The overall clinic programming is led by a professional coach provided by Chelmsford Youth Soccer Club.

Coaches  CYSA relies on volunteers to coach teams. The clinic program is the fastest growing program within CYSA. There is a need for coaches for the clinic teams. This is a great time for parents to become involved in coaching. Training is provided for coaches prior to and during each season. CYSA welcomes new and experienced coaches into the clinic Program.

Equipment  CYSA provides a shirt for each child participating in the Intramural Program. Parents are expected to provide shorts, adequate footwear (sneakers or soccer cleats) and shin guards.
